“The great Housing Mission Venezuela (GMVV) was born from a natural catastrophe, in 2010, and now it is on its feet, ready and ready to respond to all our compatriots who have lost their homes with these rains,” Maduro said this Thursday, October 27.

According to the president, the government is waging a permanent battle. “Many times it’s a shock and I can’t stop feeling it, it hurts me when a family loses their home and that’s why we are obliged to give answers,” he said.
During the broadcast, the Minister of Habitat and Housing, Ildemaro Villasmil, said that, in the midst of the damage caused by the landslides, in a first phase, the GMVV will help save lives, then diagnose homes and activate shelters.
“In the second phase, those families who remain in shelters will be cared for as we are doing now and given homes,” he said.
Villasmil informed the ruler Nicolás Maduro that the zoning study determined that, in Las Tejerías, there are 378 houses affected after the landslide and that they must be demolished.
“We have already addressed the families. 90% of them are already in solidarity shelters, we have detected a social conformation in Las Tejerías of great familiarity and solidarity, these houses are already in coordination with the Ministry of Public Works so that in a methodical way, house by house, family by family . Governor Karina Carpio, the mayor and all the authorities are accompanying the families in this process”, she affirmed.
Likewise, the Minister of Habitat and Housing stated that, for these 378 families, they already have an action plan authorized by Nicolás Maduro, with which 440 homes will be completed in the Aragua area, in Caña de Azúcar and 339 homes in an area appointed by the Scientific Committee. The latter in a nearby area called “Truck Drivers’ Refuge”, within a plan for the next six months.
During Maduro’s visit to Ocumare del Tuy, it was reported that eight families from The Tejerías received their homes, which are part of the 120 homes delivered this Thursday in the area.
The government also assigned houses to 14 families affected by the landslide of October 7, in a sector of Villa de Cura.
