Maduro asks citizens to denounce the rattle and police abuse

During a speech on the occasion of the National Police Day, Maduro pointed out that a new police model must be consummated supported by the pillar of prevention and the strengthening of the moral values ​​of the agents. He emphasized that citizens must strive to “report everything that is wrong”


The ruler Nicolás Maduro asked citizens to denounce the rattle and police abuse, to “revolutionize” the national citizen security system.

“I call on the honest police officers, the profound institutions, the Venezuelan popular power and, in general, all state institutions, governorates, mayors to insist on denouncing police abuses, whoever they come from,” he said in a speech this July 16.

Maduro’s speech was broadcast through the state channel VTV, during the official ceremony for the National Police Day, which was headed by the Minister of the Interior and Justice, Remigio Ceballos.

“That we insist on denouncing the matraca (extortion), that we insist on denouncing human rights abuses, that we insist on denouncing everything that is wrongly done and that we apply the third R, to revolutionize the national police system, so I ask” continued the president.

Maduro pointed out that a new police model must be consummated supported by the pillar of prevention and “the strengthening of the moral values ​​of the agents.” He also said that this new system will merge with the popular movement, which means “being in the territory with the people, in communication with the leaders of each neighborhood, of each organization.”

In his congratulatory message, the president reiterated to the uniformed men that the threats against citizen security “do not cease” and that the “enemy of the Venezuelan people does not rest,” without specifying who he was referring to.
