On May 19, Venezuela and Brazil reviewed their cooperation agreements and evaluated new proposals. In this regard, the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs for Latin America in the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry, Rander Peña, specified that bilateral cooperation includes 700 agreements, including political and economic alliances.

The presence of Maduro in Brazil was not allowed since August 2019, when an ordinance issued by then-President Jair Bolsonaro prohibited their entry into the country and other representatives of the Maduro administration, according to the newspaper O´Globo.

Maduro will participate in the Meeting of Presidents of the South American countries, scheduled for this Tuesday, May 30, which seeks to resume cooperation and dialogue in the region, as reported by the Ministry of Communication and Information.

Presidents of at least 10 South American nations are expected to attend the Summit.
