According to the president, the Barrio Adentro Mission “owns the achievements and success of the Venezuelan model in the fight against the pandemic. The victory is yours!”
According to Julio César García, head of the Cuban Medical Mission, 95% of the patients affected by the covid-19were treated by the Barrio Adentro Mission and hospitals of the free and quality Public Health System.
From the Ezequiel Zamora Park, in Caracas, Nicolás Maduro announced a new stage of Barrio Adentro, from the 3R.Nets.
«Resistance together with popular power, the Rebirth of the idea of the Barrio Adentro Mission project of primary and preventive care, and Revolutionize what is necessary. All combined and united give a project, which leads to a New Era of Transition to Socialism of public health, free and of socialist quality”, he said.
Likewise, this Thursday, April 21, Maduro stressed that the victory of April 13 and 14, 2022, against the coup d’état, opened the way for the construction of the social missions of which the revolution boasts.
“The victory of April 13 and 14 is the mother of the Barrio Adentro Mission,” he said.
Maduro also ordered progress in a specific plan for the “technological refoundation” of all the equipment with which the Barrio Adentro Mission provides attention at the national level.
The governor highlighted the rehabilitation of the “José Antonio Páez” CDI, in Catia La Mar. He assured that, so far in 2022, this health center has treated more than 23,000 patients.
“87% of the Comprehensive Diagnostic Centers in the state have been rehabilitated,” he said.
According to Maduro’s balance, through the Barrio Adentro Mission, more than 1,496 million patients have been treated, while 174 million rehabilitations and 3.2 million surgical operations have been carried out.

Regarding the Miracle Mission, the president indicated that more than 6 million people have been operated on.
For her part, the mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, said that, in coordination with organized popular power, the city’s popular clinics have been recovered.
Maduro emphasized that the people must exercise control over these health centers.
“We must empower the people and that the people be the watchman and controller of each clinic, each CDI, each Comprehensive Rehabilitation Room (SRI),” he stressed.
Maduro also called win the battle of social networks, «the battle of the truth of Venezuela, the battle of the Bolivarian Revolution». In this sense, he referred to the “hate campaign” against Venezuela.

During the Barrio Adentro act, Nicolás Maduro made several announcements. He said that the Latin American School of Medicine “Salvador Allende” (ELAM), will have a modern and large headquarters that will be inaugurated with the next school year of 30 thousand students who will enter the health area.
These students will be trained as Comprehensive Community Physicians (MIC).
On the other hand, the ruler indicated that, on June 16 of this year, it will be celebrated, “in style”, in Venezuela, in Ecuador and throughout Latin America that Simón Bolívar and Manuela Sáenz met 200 years ago. He said that the meeting took place in Quito.
