Maduro announces 17 new agreements with Russia: We share the dream of a world without sanctions

From Miraflores, Maduro defended the agreements with Russia in various areas. Among the signed projects are the memorandums of understanding between the state oil companies PDVSA and Rosneft


The ruler Nicolas Maduro He pointed out from Miraflores, the night of this Thursday, November 7, that Russia and Venezuela share the dream of a better world: “A world without hegemonism, without threats, or sanctions.”

He assured that no one will be able to separate Russia and Venezuela. Maduro maintained that this was part of the dream of former President Hugo Chávez.

The president received the deputy prime minister of tourism, sports, culture and communications of Russia, Dmitry Chernyshenko. Vladimir Putin’s official told Maduro: “We applaud the fact that the Venezuelan people showed support by electing you as president, which shows that the political line is correct, I wish your country growth.”

Maduro announced that the governments of Venezuela and Russia signed 17 cooperation agreements within the framework of the eighteenth meeting of the High Level Intergovernmental Commission.

Among the agreements signed are those related to trade, military technical cooperation and memorandums of understanding between the state oil companies PDVSA and Rosneft in matters of education, training and technical advice for the comprehensive security of the energy sector.

An agreement was also established between PDVSA and the TNG Group company in the areas of oil services and improved recovery technology for extra-heavy crude oil, located in the Orinoco Oil Belt.

Another of the agreements between Venezuela and Russia is the one referring to the security area on intelligence, counterintelligence and counterespionage issues.

The executive vice president, Delcy Rodríguez, reported that during this week, 13 subcommittees from various areas worked to achieve the new agreements. The Maduro official announced that in the “coming weeks” there will be a development in the Russian gas fields in Venezuela.

Rodríguez told Maduro that the agreements cover all areas of the country and also those linked to the producing sectors. In this sense, he maintained that the aim is to “shield our economies from the savage blockade and make our economy diversified, independent and sovereign.”
