The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, reported at a press conference the capture of a boat with 3,600 kilograms of high purity cocaine, whose occupants were arrested by the Venezuelan authorities.
“Now in real time it is happening” this capture as part of the actions carried out by the Venezuelan State in the fight against drug trafficking, said the president.
He explained that the criminals were surrounded and the proportional force that justice sends for their capture was used, and indicated that the security personnel will proceed to the destruction of the seized.
He said that Venezuela unlike the United States (USA), executes these actions according to what the laws establish in the fight against drug trafficking bands.
He pointed out that in all Caribbean countries there are laws for the interdiction of criminals in the sea and in the air and Venezuela complies with it.
Maduro exhorts Trump to investigate supposed attack on a Venezuelan boat
On the US attack to an alleged Venezuelan boat indicated by President Trump to transport drugs, Maduro urged the US president to investigate where that video came from, because they “placed words in his mouth” without verifying the data of the material he spread.
He indicated that this material deserves an investigation of the highest level of the White House and added that this audiovisual has been a debate from which it has taken distance.
He explained that the audiovisual shows artificial intelligence modification, it is also the trajectory is very similar to that of videos of other years in other parts of the world.
To that added that the veracity of the murder of 11 people attributed to the United States is debated.
In this regard, he said that the investigation is ongoing by Venezuela and the investigation is expected to culminate in order to give the results.
“The vast majority of people who are familiar with the issue say it was a furry crime, because a boat was attacked that was presumed to be committing a crime, but from the presumption it went to the death penalty,” he said.
Communications with the US are undone
The national president said that communication relations with the US government were battered at the time, and now with the latest threats “are already undone.”
In this context, he said: «Communications with the United States are undone for them, for their threats of bombs, death and blackmail, and we do not work. With threats and bad, there will never be anything and know it. They went from a stage of maltrechas of communication to undone and history will continue ».
For President Nicolás Maduro, the Venezuelan government has made a great effort to maintain dialogue with the US government in recent years, only with the current administration it has been difficult to achieve “something for good.”
The national president said about the opinion that President Donald Trump has on Venezuela’s internal policy: “No one should think of our country (…) It is preferable that on these issues each one occupies his country.”
