Maduro and Emir of Qatar head meeting on bilateral issues

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, and the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, held a meeting to analyze bilateral political and economic relations between the two nations.

The delegations of both countries participated in the meeting, the development of joint cooperation was evaluated in the various areas in which they have agreements, and they exchanged points of view on global, regional and current affairs.

Cooperation

According to official information, the dialogue addresses aspects related to the prospects for cooperation, as well as the promotion of common projects in the areas of energy, economy, investment, agriculture and tourism.

According to a publication by the president on his Twitter account, the issues discussed between President Maduro and the Emir of Qatar will strengthen relations and will be fruitful for both peoples.

Earlier, this Wednesday, the head of state, Nicolás Maduro, was received with honors by the Emir of Qatar at the Royal Palace.

President Maduro arrived on Tuesday to the State of Qatar, where he was received by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Sultan BinSaad Al-Muraikhi, the Qatari ambassador to Venezuela, as well as by the Minister Counselor and Chargé d’Affaires of that country.

Qatar is the fifth stop in the tour of Eurasian and African countries carried out by the Venezuelan head of state since last June 7. already visited turkish, Algeria, Iran Y Kuwaitwhere he signed agreements on agriculture, tourism, energy and health, among others.

President Maduro’s international tour seeks to promote a vanguard geopolitical scheme that points towards shared development.
