On April 11, 2002, the coup d’état was perpetrated against the constitutional president elected by the people, Hugo Chávez, within an orchestrated arrangement between the extreme right and military disloyal to the revolutionary cause, supported by the administration of the United States (USA). ), the business sector, in alliance with the country’s private media and international media groups.
Among the activities scheduled for this Monday for this reason, the International Summit Against Fascism meeting stands out, with almost 200 guests from five continents, which was urged this Monday at the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry, Casa Amarilla, Caracas, by the minister for Foreign Relations, Félix Plasencia, who earlier also ruled on the date.
This meeting will last three days to discuss the coup d’état 20 years ago and the reaction of the Venezuelan people who returned Chávez to power, Plasencia said on Twitter.
Likewise, the XIII Anniversary Forum of the Bolivarian Militia and the XX Anniversary of April 13, 2002, are planned at the Theater of the Army Academy, Fort Tiuna, Caracas, with the assistance of the Defense Minister, Vladimir Padrino López.
