Maduro affirmed that in the north they try to say that in Venezuela "there is a regime, a dictator"

Nicolás Maduro stated this Saturday that in the “north”, in reference to the United States, they try to say that in Venezuela “there is a regime, a dictator”, but added that this is a “rehash” (somewhat repeated)”.

“In the north they try to say that there is a regime, a dictator. They repeat it, it is a rehash. In English I think they say ‘rehashes’,” Maduro said on Saturday when speaking after the presentation of the series ‘Nicolás de Yare a Miraflores’.

In a broadcast on the state channel Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), the president called for film forums in the communities to remember why “today” Venezuela is “indestructible” in the face of “threats and psychological wars.”

This Saturday, on the eve of his birthday, Maduro received congratulations from the presidents of Russia, China, Cuba, Nicaragua and Belarus, all allies of Venezuela, who ratified their support for the Chavista leader.

In recent months, the United States has reinforced its military presence in the Caribbean and the Latin American Pacific with ships, combat aircraft and special forces, amid growing tensions with Venezuela, in a deployment that Donald Trump’s administration frames in its ‘Lance of the South’ operation and in the fight against drug trafficking.

However, Maduro considers that this deployment is an attempt to remove him from power, which is why he has ordered, for months, that the country remain on alert and carry out military preparation exercises in the event of a possible “aggression.”

That Saturday, after the United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued an international notice the day before that urged “extreme caution” when flying over Venezuela and the southern Caribbean Sea, the airlines Iberia (Spain), TAP (Portugal), Gol (Brazil) and Avianca (Colombia) reported that they suspended their flights to this country, while the Colombian Wingo indicated that it maintains its operations normally.

The Venezuelan airline Avior announced, for its part, that it will maintain its national and international flights normally.
