The deputy and leader of Primero Venezuela, José Brito, assured that during the meeting held with Nicolás Maduro on December 2, together with the “Democratic Alliance”, a possible reform of the National Electoral Council (CNE) was discussed.
“We talked about the electoral, and I don’t want to get ahead of events, but we talked about a lot of electoral things. We talked about how to improve the electoral conditions, about the hypothetical reconfiguration of the Electoral Power”, affirmed the deputy during a interview in Venezuelan Television (VTV).

Although he did not give details about what this possible reform of the CNE would mean and what the electoral agreements would be, Brito announced that on January 2, 2023 a document will be signed that will advance “many issues in the political, electoral, social, economic. In the electoral field there are many advances that we are going to announce, ”he said.
Brito also justified that there are “different oppositions in Venezuela”, including an “extremist opposition” which he accused of promoting sanctions against the country.
“They even asked for sanctions against me, I don’t care, do what you want with it, but that means that there are kidnapped resources that are not from Maduro or José Brito (…) they belong to the Venezuelans. Three billion dollars are being taken from the kidnapping,” said the parliamentarian, referring to the amount of the social agreement signed between Maduro and the Unitary Platform on November 26.
In the meeting last Friday, which was held at the Miraflores Palace, several political parties intervened by the TSJ represented by Bernabé Gutiérrez (Acción Democrática), Luis Parra (Primero Venezuela), José Brito (Primero Venezuela), Timoteo Zambrano (Primero Venezuela), participated.
