The Minister of the Interior, Alfonso Chávarry Estrada, reported that more than 200 requisitioners were captured by the National Police (PNP) since the beginning of 2022 in this region of the country.
The head of the Ministry of the Interior (Mininter) highlighted the commitment of the police officers and ratified his support for the PNP for the mission of raising security standards in Mother of God.
In the presentation of the police report, it was also reported that since the beginning of this year, 926 operations were deployed. What’s more, 12 criminal gangs were dismantled and 18 firearms were seized, including rifles, pistols and revolvers.
Similarly, 403 wrappers of basic cocaine paste, 57 of marijuana and 10 of cocaine hydrochloride were seized. Meanwhile, 23 vehicles were recovered in police operations.
At another time, Chávarry Estrada announced that the police presence in Mother of Godin order to promote deployment, operations and preventive patrolling in all critical areas with a high incidence of crime.
“I have found out that 56 police officers left Madre de Dios for Puno, that is not right. Each region has its staff. Through the General Command of the PNP, I have arranged for these troops to return and reinforce security in this region.”Held.
Previously, Chávarry participated in the swearing-in of eight neighborhood councils in Mother of Godwhich will be the “eyes and ears” of the National Police to alert the areas where the crime originates and where there are points of illicit drug trafficking.
