Macroeconomic expectations improved in November, according to BCR survey

The majority of macroeconomic expectations improved in November compared to what was recorded in October, according to the latest survey by the Central Reserve Bank (BCR). In this way, 16 of 18 indicators were located in the optimistic range (above 50 points).

The SBS had already spoken out against it, but its position was not taken into account.

For example, expectations for the three-month economy went from 55.9 points in October to 58.2 points in November, while 12-month expectations rose from 61 to 63.9 points. Regarding the indicator on the situation of your company one year from now, it went from 66.7 points to 69.6 points.

Another index that also registered an increase was that of what is expected for the sector in three months, which increased to 58.3 points, compared to the 57 points it registered a month before. At 12 months it stood at 66.2 points, compared to the 65.7 that was observed in October.

However, a drop was observed in the expectation for hiring personnel in one year, which fell to 62.8 points, compared to the 64.7 it had a month before. The same thing happened to the indicator referring to your company’s three-month investment, which fell from 56.5 points to 55.8 points.

The survey also revealed that economic analysts and the financial system improved their economic growth projections for this year and now expect an advance of 3.2% (from 3.1% in October). The former also raised estimates for 2026 to 3%.

Regarding the exchange rate, analysts maintained their expectations at S/3.4 at the end of 2025, while the financial system lowered it from S/3.5 to S/3.4, and non-financial companies reduced it from S/3.5 to S/3.45.
