Mariano Macribrother of the former president Mauricio Macrimust testify as a witness on April 11 in the case that investigates illegal espionage from the Federal Intelligence Agency (AFI) during the Government of Cambiemos, reported official sources.
Mariano Macri was scheduled for March 21 last but requested a postponement for health reasonsbefore which the judge of the case, Marcelo Martinez De Giorgirescheduled the hearing for April 11 at 3:00 p.m. and through the virtual platform Zoom.
The brother of the former president will be questioned under oath of truth about sayings attributed to him in a book in which he would have alluded to the illegal espionage maneuvers during the macrismo.
Also called as witnesses in the case were the AFI comptroller, Cristina Caamanoand the deputy Diego Santilliwho will respond in writing.
In addition, the magistrate in the case accepted as “friends of the court” the Bicameral Commission for the Oversight of Intelligence Organizations and Activities of the National Congress.
