With the participation of professionals and conservation workers, maintenance and conservation work is being carried out on the Inca Trail Network, according to the headquarters of the National Archaeological Park of Machu Picchu.

Due to the geological problems registered in the Ccarpamayo sector, the Inca road network is being accessed through the right bank of the Vilcanota River. Currently, work is being intensified in the sectors of Salapunku, Qhanabamba, Wayraqpunqo, Punchayunuyoq, Ñustahispana, Qoriwayrachina, as reported by the person in charge of maintaining the Inca Trail Network of Machu Picchu, Francisco Huarcaya.

In addition to this, professional personnel from the Culture sector carry out awareness workshops aimed at the porters who use the Inca Trail, providing them with recommendations to access the bridle paths, from Km 82 Piscacucho to Qoriwayrachina and not use the railway to avoid putting the physical integrity of visitors at risk.
