'Macho football' starts the third date of the departmental in Junín with a flurry of goals

An afternoon full of goals and emotions was experienced yesterday, during the first date of the Copa Perú 2024, in its phase 3 of the Junín Departmental Stage. The teams from the Central Jungle such as Satipo and Chanchamayo, took advantage of their counterparts from the Central Sierra.

Group A. At the San Ramón Municipal Stadium, Atlético Chanchamayo (Chanchamayo) hosted Deportivo Sucre (Huancayo), a two-legged game that was a foregone conclusion, but the home team ended up winning 3-2 over the Huancaínos.

At the Mazamari Municipal Stadium, Alipio Ponce (Satipo) received Defensor Concepción (Concepción), a duel that the visitors started winning, however, the home team’s advantage and pressure from the fans pushed the home team to take the victory by a score of 3 – 2.

With these results, the group leader is Atlético Chanchamayo (3), followed by Alipio Ponce (3), 3rd Defensor Concepción (0), 4th Deportivo Sucre (0).

Group B. At the Mariscal Castilla stadium in El Tambo, Atlético Wanka (Huancayo) was at home against Municipal Usibamba (Concepción). Despite the Wankas’ wide dominance, two errors in defense were enough for the visitors to take advantage of and win the match 1 – 2.

“This is football, as I told the boys, we had to play it intelligently and I was very happy with the victory,” said the coach of Municipal Usibamba, Eloy Martínez.

At the Monumental de Jauja stadium, Defensor Cormis (Jauja) received Municipal Pangoa (Satipo). The duel was played intelligently by the visitors, who took advantage of the nervousness of the locals pressured by the presence of a large number of Jauja fans.

Despite starting off winning the match, Cormis ended up being defeated at home by a score of 2 – 3.

After this round, the table of this group is: 1st Municipal Pangona (3), 2nd Municipal Usibamba (3), 3rd Atlético Wanka (0), 4th Defensor Cormis (0). Only 1st and 2nd place are classified.
