Due to the intense rains that have been affecting the Central Jungle, which have caused river overflows, landslides and damage to the road platform in different parts of the district, the District Municipality of Perené ordered the immediate transfer of heavy machinery, including a front loader and fuel, for emergency response.
One of the prioritized areas is the San Juan de Kimarini – Río Amarillo basin, specifically in the Puerto Unión and La Olada sectors, where cleaning, channeling and rehabilitation work is being carried out in the affected areas.
Likewise, sectors such as San Luis de Shuaro and Sanchirio Palomar continue to have roads blocked for several days, so the population urgently requests support with machinery to restore traffic.
Even more so in sectors such as populated centers, they are being affected by the intense rains, and this year it will be stronger than in other years.

District Mayor Jordan Soria, in his capacity as president of the District Civil Defense Platform, was established in the affected areas to supervise and coordinate immediate actions, arranging the deployment of heavy machinery and municipal personnel, with the aim of preventing further damage to the population and road infrastructure.
