«The whole world knows that on July 28, we Venezuelans elected Edmundo González as our president (…) We already did what we should, in the elections. The leader stressed that before January 10 “we are going to celebrate a difficult Christmas, with political prisoners, with a lot of economic hardship and separated families.”

On November 23, Machado, together with activists, called for a great national protest inside and outside Venezuela.
“It is up to us to lead this process and ensure that all actors do their part, that is why we are planning a huge protest this December 1 inside and outside of Venezuela,” said Machado.
