María Corina Machado shared a video on her social networks in which she praised Edmundo González Urrutia and highlighted that together they will bring “order, stability and the reunion” of Venezuelans
María Corina Machado, winner of the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize, stated that Edmundo González Urrutia is the expression of the “legitimacy of the immediate transition to democracy.”
The opposition leader, who received recognition for her fight for democracy in Venezuela, he recalled that González Urrutia represents the expression of popular sovereignty manifested in the presidential elections of July 28, 2024. “He won overwhelmingly,” he pointed out.

In one social media post in which he shared a video with testimonies from citizens about the situation in the country, he praised the figure of González.
“From the heart of this struggle, a good man rose to make change possible: Edmundo González Urrutia, a lifelong diplomat, honest, loyal, served his country in its most difficult moments, when the regime blocked my candidacy, he stepped forward.”
Machado assured that, together with González Urrutia, they will leave “chaos behind” in the country and bring “order, stability and the reunion” of families.
