“This is a process that has started, that is accelerating, that is indisputably irreversible, and that, indeed, Maduro has the possibility, between now and January 10, of assuming that his best option is to accept the terms of a negotiated transition. If he refuses that, he tries to forcefully continue, well, he is making the worst mistake of his life, for him,” he said.
