Machado dedicates the Nobel Prize to those who do not give up: The next prize will be the freedom of Venezuela

Machado published a video in which he highlighted the daily fight that each Venezuelan gives to defend the country, in the midst of difficult circumstances.


María Corina Machado, Nobel Peace Prize 2025, dedicated the award to all Venezuelans who never give up and assured that the “next prize will be the freedom of Venezuela.”

Through a video shared this Sunday, October 12 On her social networks, the opposition leader referred to the fight that each Venezuelan has given to defend the country.

«To those who resist without hatred, to those who endure hunger, fear and silence, but never stop believing. To the mothers who continue waiting for their children, to those who fight tirelessly, to those who march with faith,” he said.

In the video, Machado asserted that the Nobel Peace Prize he received this Friday, October 10, is “for those who never give up, for those who choose freedom as the path to peace, when everything pushes them to hate” and emphasized that the “next prize will be the freedom of Venezuela.”

The Nobel Peace Prize was awarded this October 10 to the leader of the Venezuelan opposition María Corina Machado for her efforts “in favor of a just and peaceful transition from dictatorship to democracy.”

The president of the Norwegian Nobel Committee, Jørgen Watne Frydnes, highlighted that the award is awarded to “a brave and committed defender of peace, a woman who keeps the flame of democracy alive in the midst of growing darkness (…) María Corina Machado is one of the most extraordinary examples of civic courage in Latin America in recent times.”

The Nobel Peace Prize was celebrated by opposition leaders, human rights organizations and world leaders, who congratulated Machado for his work in favor of democracy.
