One of the candidates rumored to be a candidate for the presidency of the Constitutional Court is Gustavo Gutiérrez Ticse, although there are also rumors of Luz Pacheco’s candidacy. The other members of the plenary are Helder Domínguez Haro, Manuel Monteagudo Valdez, César Ochoa and Pedro Hernández Chávez.

How reported Peru21 days ago, the election of the new head of the TC will also be important to determine the eventual annulment of the disqualifications that weigh on former President Martín Vizcarra and that prevent him from running for the Presidency of the Republic in 2026.

According to a report by the Investigative Unit of this newspaper, the former president has filed a constitutional appeal seeking to have his rights restored by the Constitutional Court, which he believes have been taken away from him by Parliament.
