President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva underwent tests this Friday (25), in Brasília, and, according to the medical bulletin from Hospital Sírio-Libanês, the condition is stable. According to the bulletin, Lula is able to carry out his work routine in Brasília. A new assessment will take place in five days.
Last Saturday (19), Lula fell in the bathroom of his official residence, at Palácio da Alvorada, hit his head and needed five stitches on the back of his head.
As a result, Lula will not go to São Paulo for the second round of municipal elections, on Sunday (27); the president votes in São Bernardo do Campo, in the interior of the state, and would be participating in campaign events for allies. He will also not travel to Cali, Colombia, where he would participate in the United Nations Conference on Biodiversitywhich runs until November 1st.
Image tests carried out shortly after the fall showed a small hemorrhage in the president’s brain, and the medical team recommended, as a precaution, avoiding long-distance travel. On that occasion, Lula canceled the trip he would take to participate in the BRICS Leaders Summit in Kazan, Russia.
“The exam is stable compared to previous ones. [Lula] is able to carry out his work routine in Brasília. A new assessment will take place in five days”, says the bulletin.
The president remains under the supervision of his medical team. Lula is under the care of his personal doctor, Roberto Kalil Filho, and the President’s doctor, Ana Helena Germoglio.
