President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva said this Sunday (18) that presenter Silvio Santos made many people happy. When visiting the situation room set up in Brasília to monitor the application of the Unified National Exam (CNU) tests, he commented on the death of the SBT presenter. 
Lula said he listened to Silvio’s radio programs and also spent hours in front of the television watching the presenter’s programs.
“Silvio Santos, what matters is that you made a lot of people happy with your time on the planet. May you live much longer and much better where you are now,” he added.
Lula also stated that Silvio was a good man, with a respectful character, and that he has good memories of him.
“There are people who don’t die. I think he didn’t die, he went on a trip. Since I believe in another world, better and fairer, I think Silvio Santos should be focused on this new world. The people we admire, the people we like, don’t die, they stay in our thoughts,” he added. The body of presenter Silvio Santos was buried on Sunday morning (18) at the Butantã Jewish Cemetery, in São Paulo. The ceremony was restricted to friends and family.
The presenter and businessman died at 4:50 am this Saturday (17) due to bronchopneumonia, after an infection with Influenza (H1N1). He was hospitalized at the Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein, in São Paulo, and was 93 years old.
