President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva stated, on Thursday (2), that managers who leave works stopped should be arrested for irresponsibility. In Breves, Pará, he made it announced investments in the educational infrastructure of Marajó Island and delivered three teaching units, one of which started in 2011 and paralyzed along with more than 100 in the region.
“Works are being inaugurated 15 years later. I, honestly, I think many public administrators should be arrested for irresponsibility because when you leave a paralyzed work because it was your opponent who started doing the work, you are not having any respect for the people of your city,” he said.
Water and electricity
Lula also pledged, with other demands from the Marajó region, with access to water and electricity, health actions and the construction of a university.
In the first appointment of the morning, the President of the Republic inaugurated Professor Afonso Brito da Cruz Nursery, which began to be built in 2011. In addition to the resumption of works, the island of Marajó was contemplated, in 2024, for the first phase of the FNDE project coming together, from the National Fund for the Development of Education (FNDE), of the Ministry of Education.
The objective is to ensure greater efficiency to public policies with technical assistance and educational monitoring.
Technical Indicators
The initiative seeks to take – in an integrated, intensive and priority manner – all programs and actions developed by the federal authority to certain regions of the country, selected from criteria and technical indicators that portray the need for more specific performance.
FNDE coming together promotes actions to ensure school feeding, valorization of education professionals, transportation and textbooks, among others.
In the first phase, Amapá and the region of Marajó, in Pará were contemplated. In 2025, in the second stage, the states contemplated are Maranhão and Roraima.
After the commitments in Marajó, even today, in Belém, Lula will visit works related to the preparation for the 30th United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP30), which will be in November in the capital of Pará.
