“It is very important that you, boys and girls, get up in a good mood, you have already studied, so just go with an open heart, with a lot of faith in God and knowing that, if you pass, you will transform into the greatest pride, which you They already are – from your father and mother. A kiss on the heart, strength and may God bless you”, wrote the president.

The test will start at 1:30 pm, Brasília time, and will last five and a half hours, ending at 7 pm. Participants who requested and were approved for additional time will be able to take the test until 8pm. And those who take the exam via video test in Brazilian Sign Language (Libras) will be able to complete at 9pm.

Enem

The exam evaluates students’ academic performance at the end of basic education. Over more than two decades of existence, Enem has become the main gateway to higher education in Brazil, through the Unified Selection System (Sisu) and initiatives such as the University for All Program (Prouni).

Public and private educational institutions use Enem to select students. The results are used as a sole or complementary criterion for selection processes, in addition to serving as a parameter for access to government aid, such as that provided by the Student Financing Fund (Fies).

Individual Enem results can also be used in the selection processes of Portuguese institutions that have an agreement with Inep to accept exam scores. The agreements guarantee easy access to grades for Brazilian students interested in pursuing higher education in Portugal.
