President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva participated this Thursday (13) the delivery of 1,008 dwellings of Minha Casa, my life at Residencial Viver Outeiro, in Belém. The venture is part of the Housing Strip 1 and had an investment of R $ 97 , 2 million.
The houses are 43.85 square meters, with living room, two bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and service area, and are intended for families with gross lace of up to R $ 2,850. Lula also signed the hiring act of 900 housing units within my house, my rural life.
By delivering the key to the houses to new residents, Lula said he knows the happiness of finally having a home of his own. “I know what the thrill is to get into a little house, to know that our children will have a nest, will be able to study and will not need to change neighborhood every year.”
Lula recalled that the work had been abandoned in previous governments and resumed in the current government. “I am already the president who built the most houses for the Brazilian people,” said the president.
Education
During the event, President Lula unveiled the inauguration plaque of the didactic-pedagogical block J of the Belém Campus of the Federal Institute of Pará (IFPA). The order of service was also signed for the construction of new campus IFPA and the pact for the resumption of works in the area of basic education of the state.
Lula highlighted the importance of investments in education and policies for access to higher education. “I want to guarantee opportunity to everyone, I don’t want to harm anyone. But I want the maid’s son taking a course with her boss’s son, and will only pass those who have more quality. I want people to compete on equal terms. ”
COP30
This Friday (14), also in Belém, Lula will visit the works of Parque da Cidade, a space that will host COP30 in November this year. The investments of the federal government will also be announced for the event.
At today’s event, Lula said that despite the infrastructure difficulties, he decided to choose Belém to be the headquarters of COP30 because the world has to understand the reality of the Amazon.
“They have to know that under each tree pantry has a worker, has an Indian, a quilombola, a fisherman, a rubber tapper, an extractive who has to live. So they have to pay, ”said Lula, noting that Brazil is committed to up to 2030 to promote zero deforestation in the country.
The governor of Pará, Helder Barbalho, praised the government’s courage in doing COP30 in Belém. “What is wanted is to send a message to the world that the Brazilian Amazon and from our entire Latin American region must be preserved, But it should be supported in the construction of sustainable development to help people who live here. ”
