Lula congratulates Trump on his victory in the US presidential elections

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva congratulated the president-elect of the United States (USA), Donald Trump on his victory in the election held this Tuesday (5), when he emerged victorious against Democrat Kamala Harris. “My congratulations to President Donald Trump on his electoral victory and return to the presidency of the United States. Democracy is the voice of the people and it must always be respected. The world needs dialogue and joint work to have more peace, development and prosperity. I wish luck and success to the new government”, said Lula through social media.

Recently, Lula had expressed preference for the candidate Kamala Harris. According to him, a victory for the Democratic candidate would result in strengthening democracy.
