Lukashenko will strengthen ties with Venezuela

The president of Belarus, Alexsandr Lukashenko, advocated this Tuesday to achieve “advanced” relations with Venezuela and invited the Venezuelan president, Nicolás Maduro, to visit Minsk, international media report.

“I ask you to tell my friend Nicolás Maduro that we always wait for him in Belarus. It is time for him to visit us,” said the Belarusian president, (cited by the state agency Belta), to the Venezuelan ambassador in that country, Jesús Rafael Salazar Velásquez.

Regarding tensions between the United States and Venezuela, he was convinced that they could improve.

“You can find a way out of any situation,” he said.

It should be noted that Belarus recently entered into direct dialogue with the United States and as a preliminary result, began to release some political prisoners.

Last Monday, during the broadcast of the Con Maduro + program number 98, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, not only expressed his gratitude to Lukashenko for the congratulatory message he sent him on his birthday, but also for expressing his solidarity in the face of the threat from the United States by sending several ships and troops to the Caribbean Sea, especially near the coast of Venezuela.

Diplomatic relations and cooperation between Venezuela and Belarus have been strengthening since the Bolivarian Revolution came to power in 1999.
