The Luisito Mercedes Sports Academy will inaugurate its 33rd Christmas baseball tournament this Sunday at the Jardines del Norte play, starting at 9:30 in the morning and which has a special dedication to Jesús -Chu- Vásquez Martínez, Minister of Interior and Police.
The information was offered by Luisito Mercedes, president of the baseball entity that bears his name, who said that 2,600 athletes between the ages of 7 and 18 will be participating in the fair, as well as 20 professional teams, which will be disputing the “DNCD Cup”, an institution that is directed by ARD Vice Admiral Juan M. Cabrera Ulloa.
“This is a contest that has an organizational cost of 2.8 million pesos, for which I call on the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, to extend his helping hand to us for the smooth running of this tournament,” he said.
