Brazilian Luisa Stefani and Canadian Gabriela Dabrowski won, this Saturday morning (21), the WTA 1000 title in Dubai (Arab Emirates). The feat was achieved after a victory, in the competition’s big decision, over German Laura Siegemund and Russian Vera Zvonareva by 2 sets to 0, partial scores of 6/1 6/3.
“I’m very happy to win a first title in Dubai. It’s not every week that we get a WTA 1000 title. That’s why I’m very happy and proud of my team and my team in Brazil, it’s special to share this achievement with them, as they are part of it”, declared the 28-year-old from São Paulo.

This is the third title that the Brazilian and Canadian have won together. Previously, they were champions at the WTA 1000 in Montreal (Canada) in 2021 and the WTA 250 in Chennai (India) in 2022. As for Luísa, the achievement in Dubai is the 14th of her career and the fourth at WTA 1000 level. In addition to the titles in the United Arab Emirates and Canada, the São Paulo native was champion in 2022 in Guadalajara (Mexico) with Australian Storm Hunter and in 2024 in Doha with Dutch Demi Schuurs.
Now the Brazilian is heading to the United States, where she trains for a week and then competes in the WTA 1000 in Indian Wells and Miami.
