The president of the National Electoral Commission of the Dominican Medical College (CMD), Santiago Castro Ventura, offered this Wednesday the first newsletter of the elections to choose the new authorities of the union. Luis Pena Nunez is emerging as the virtual winner with 2,865 votes.
Pena Nunez –iron 2-outperforms its closest competitor, Yubelky Aquinofrom the number one plate, which obtained 1,970 votes.
Meanwhile, the group led by Jose Santana reached 601 voteswhile number four, headed by Clemente Terreroobtained 502 votes.
69% of the total tables
As Castro Ventura explained, so far there have been 58 tableswith a total of 5,938 valid votes to national level.
He electoral roll of the CMD consists of 19,759 doctors eligible to vote, among active and pensioners.
“So far we have computed 69% of the total tables. Tomorrow we will continue with the final bulletins of this election day“said the president of the electoral commission.
Castro Ventura highlighted the mass participation and the civility shown by the health professionals during the process.

After knowing the bulletin, Clemente Terrero recognized the victory of Peña Núñezconsidering that the trend is irreversible.
“It is a marked difference and we understand that he is the winner“, he expressed.
Yubelky Aquino called his followers to stay attentive to final count.
“Tomorrow we will be here early waiting for the final results of this day,” he said.

On its side, the virtual winner, Luis Pena Nunezwho has the back of the outgoing president of CMD, Waldo Ariel Suerosaid he will wait for the final result before declaring himself the winner.
