Luis Ignacio Granko Arteaga was appointed by the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, as the new president of the National Institute of Land Transportation (INTT). Previously, Arteaga served as manager of the Regional Offices of the aforementioned entity, attached to the Ministry of Popular Power for Interior Relations, Justice and Peace (Mppijp), replacing the division general, Gabriel Aguana Rodríguez.
The appointment of Granko Arteaga as head of the nation’s transit body was published in the Official Gazette number 42,978, dated Friday, October 4, 2024, and was signed by the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodriguezas well as endorsed by the Minister of Popular Power for Interior Relations, Justice and Peace, Diosdado Hair.
The Institute is an entity attached to the Mppijp, with jurisdiction over land transportation and with legal personality, which enjoys the privileges and prerogatives granted to the Republic as stipulated in the Land Transportation Law, Official Gazette No. 38 1,985. The legal instrument came into force on August 1, 2008.
In addition, the institution promotes the automation of procedures to provide quality services, allowing users to make their requests in an agile, easy and secure way, from the comfort of their home or office. The officials who are part of this important organization of the Venezuelan State are guarantors of reliable information and safe and sustainable mobility in the national territory.
