Before Petro’s announcement on Twitter, the news of Reyes’ appointment was released by Ricardo Bonilla, Petro’s economic adviser, in the middle of the summit of congressmen of the Historical Pact that takes place in Medellín.

It is worth remembering that the Dian aims to help guarantee the fiscal security of the Colombian State and the protection of the national economic public order “through the administration and control of due compliance with tax, customs, foreign exchange obligations, exploitation rights and administration expenses on games of luck and chance operated by public entities at the national level and the facilitation of foreign trade operations in conditions fairness, transparency and legality“.
