By order of the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader Corona, the Emergency Operations Center (COE) will start next Thursday, April 14 at 2:00 pm the Operation Awareness for Life, Holy Week 2022 to prevent and respond to any emergency that citizens may have in their transfer to the different points of the country during the holiday. of the older week.
From Thursday the 14th and until six in the afternoon on Sunday, April 17, the COE will establish a prevention and road safety device in the road sections of the main roads, highways, beaches and permitted resorts to prevent traffic accidents, suffocation by immersion, alcohol poisoning and food poisoning.
For this, the organization will deploy 48,223 people, who represent the institutions that comprise it. Likewise, the installation of 3,175 assistance posts has been arranged, located in points where in previous operations we have detected a greater number of incidents.

Likewise, the population will have the assistance of 19 boats, 6 mobile hospitals, 43 Omsa buses, 1,525 immediate response units (URIS) and 15 road protection and assistance devices.
In addition, the National Institute of Transit and Land Transportation (INTRANT) reported that it ordered strategic actions to regulate the movement of people in the back of trucks or cargo vehicles; as well as that the circulation of heavy vehicles that acquire their permits is always in the right lane.
Whereas, the Directorate for the Control of Alcoholic Beverages (COBA) of the Ministry of the Interior and Police will monitor businesses to prevent the sale of alcoholic beverages to people who are intoxicated and to minors.

The director of the COE, Juan Manuel Méndez García He reminded the public that this Holy Week holiday is to commemorate the Passion of Christ.
