The President of the Dominican Republic, Louis Abinaderarrived this Saturday morning in Switzerland where he will participate in the World Health Assembly and in the World Economic Forum.
Abinader was received at the Geneva International Airport by a delegation led by Pablo Valentín, ambassador to Switzerland, and Virgilio Alcántara, ambassador to the Dominican Republic headquarters before the World Health Organization (WHO).
Today the president will have a meeting with the director general of the WHO, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesusat the headquarters of this organization.
Subsequently, he will meet with the Heads of State and Government who will attend the seventy-fifth session of the World Health Assembly.
The Dominican leader was invited to participate in this event to be held in Geneva, and in the World Economic Forumwhich will take place in Davos.
During his speech, he will present about the experience of the Dominican Republic in managing the COVID-19the post-pandemic economic crisis and the recovery of tourism.

The delegation that accompanies him is made up of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Roberto Álvarez; the president’s press director, Daniel García Archibald; his personal assistant, Mercedes Pichardo; Eilyn Beltrán, General Secretary of the Cabinet of the National Palace; and General Jimmy Arias, Deputy Chief of the Presidential Security Corps.
Agenda of activities in Davos
At the end of his participation, President Abinader will leave for Davoswhere the World Economic Forum.
On Monday the 23rd, he will hold bilateral meetings with important international business entities and in the evening he will participate in the dinner offered by Klaus Martín Schwab, founder of the World Economic Forumto the Heads of State and Government, International Organizations and special guests.
On Tuesday the 24th, he will participate in the press conference on the launch of the Travel and Tourism Development Index and will return to the Dominican Republic on Wednesday the 25th.
