The president Luis Abinader appointed around this noon new ministers in Agriculture and Women, also a director of Internal Taxes.
In Agriculture was designated Francisco Oliverio Espaillat Bencosme; as Minister of Women Gloria Reyes; Geanilda Vasquez as coordinator of the Social Policies Cabinetreplacing Tony Pena Guabawho was in office since the Government took office on Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) in August 2020.
While Mayra Jimenezwho served as Minister of Women, will now become director of Social Development Get over yourself.
As director of Internal Taxes (DGII)replacing Luis Valdezwas designated Pedro Porfirio Urrutia Sangiovanni.
The designations are contained in decree 2-26.
Until today, Genilda Vásquez acted as Consul General of the Dominican Republic in Miami, United States. She has a doctorate in Law and a political leader.

The changes began at the beginning of the year being the second decree issued this year that has just begun.
Jorge Subero Isa and Antoliano Peralta Romero
On Monday night, President Abinader appointed Jorge Subero Isa as the new legal consultant to the Executive Branch and appointed Antoliano Peralta Romero as Minister of Justice, through Decree no. 1-26, the first of the year.
Subero Isa was president of the Supreme Court of Justice (SCJ) for 14 years.
The appointments are part of the institutional strengthening process and adaptation of the State’s legal system to the current legal framework, the Government reported through a press release.
“With this decree, the president places Jorge Subero Isa, a figure with extensive experience in the Dominican judicial system, at the head of the legal consultancy of the Executive Branch, who will be in charge of providing direct legal advice to the Presidency and guaranteeing the constitutional and regulatory coherence of government decisions,” he notes.
