The Colombian Deportivo Independiente Medellin (DIM) ranked to the group stage of the Copa Libertadores-2023 this Wednesday by beating the visiting Chilean Magallanes 2-0, who had tied in the first leg (1-1) and will go to the South American.
The Argentinian Luciano Pons raised the stands of the Atanasio Girardot Stadium in Medellín (northwest) with a doublet. A brilliant definition from the attacker opened the path at minute 15 of play and another right hand completed the task at minute 39.
The Chilean attacker Felipe Flores left Magallanes with one less player at minute 67, when he saw his second yellow of the night for trying to score with his hand.
In the final line Jhon Palacios from Medellín also saw his second yellow and left the field.
The Powerful of the Mountain and Magellan They will meet their respective rivals in the Libertadores and Sudamericana groups in the draw that will take place on March 27 at the Conmebol headquarters, in Luque, a neighbor of Asunción.

The DT of the Powerful, David González, took advantage of the diminished rival to rest the starting attackers Pons, Batalla and Valencia. But at minute 85, the admitted Jhon Palacios received his second yellow card for a foul on Yorman Zapata.
For the fans of the Paisa team, the classification to the Libertadores groups has a special flavor. His backyard rival and two-time Cup champion in 1989 and 2016, Atlético Nacional, will also be in the tournament.
