The Colombian passed a litmus test today against Chelsea in a final and was not out of place.
Colombia News.
Luis Díaz raised his first title with Liverpool of England by defeating Chelsea in a penalty shootout. The team led by the German Jurgen Klopp won the Caraba Cup, the League Cup, and the 25-year-old peasant was the protagonist on the field.
‘Lucho’, as his friends and followers affectionately call him, was chosen as one of the best players in the match that ended 0-0 in both the 90 and 120 minutes.

With his dribbles and his luxurious plays, the Colombian showed that he has not disappointed the red box managers and the fans who laid their eyes on him when he was a member of Porto de Portugal.
His great level of football and his great understanding with his teammates on and off the field of play have caught the attention of the English sports press, since Díaz is a player who has barely played six games with his new club, however, it seems that he had played at Anfield “all his life”.
He understands perfectly with Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mané, two great references of the club. Also with winger Andrew Robertson and midfielder Jordan Henderson. The latter put that pass so that Díaz converted his first goal with Liverpool, annotation made against Norwich by the English League.
In addition to them, other soccer players have been key to good performance and understanding of the language while ‘Luchito’ learns English.
They are the Spanish midfielder Thiago and the Brazilians Roberto Firminho and Alisson Becker, forward and goalkeeper of the club respectively.
The striker did not need the so-called “adaptation” to external variables such as the cold weather in England, fast “one-on-one” football and the physical and tactical demands on the pitch.

Since ‘Lucho’ arrived at Anfield he has not been out of tune at any time.
It should be remembered that the former Junior from Barranquilla arrived at Liverpool at the end of January as a great signing. ‘The Reds’ put 45 million euros on the table at Porto de Portugal to get the services of the Colombian attacking winger.
It is noteworthy that this “adaptation” process has been suffered by several Colombians who have arrived in England and were unable to show their best football level.
Case of Juan Guillermo Cuadrado and Radamel Falcao at Chelsea and Manchester United. Also James Rodríguez who started well with Everton but the arrival of Rafa Benítez to the bench of the blue team ended up sealing the departure of the 10th of the Colombian National Team.
Others did well in the Premier but little by little they were earning their place: Juan Pablo Ángel (Aston Villa), Hugo Rodallega (Wigan) and Davindson Sánchez, the latter the Colombian player who is most adapted to English football since he knows the language and knows the rivals playing for Tottenham Hotspur as a central defender.
Lucho Díaz hopes to continue shining with Liverpool and continue to take advantage of Klopp’s confidence to add minutes and keep the starter in his position.
