The police are waiting for the investigating judge of the case, Martin del Viso, resolve a request for exemption from prison presented by his lawyer, Roberto Castillo, which was already opposed by the prosecutor Leonel Gómez Barbella, who is instructing the file.

The request for impeachment was presented by the lawyer Gregorio Dalbón, who represents Lucas’s parents (17), before the president of the Council of the Magistracy, Diego Molea.

“We wait with Lucas’s family haste of the Council of the Magistracy. “(…) since Dr. Cilleruelo learned that the police of the City of Buenos Aires (who were in civilian clothes in an unidentified car) had shot a 17-year-old young man in the head – which would cause death – the magistrate decided to take measures to re-victimize the three young men who were with Lucas González, leaving them locked up with the murderers all night, “said the request that appears in an eight-page letter to which Télam agreed.

“Not satisfied with this, and as if the result was not enough,” continued the presentation, “when noting that the three defendants were members of the aforementioned security force, Dr. Cilleruelo decided to release them.”

According to the brief, the fact that the defendants were members of said force “revealed the risk that they would remain free for the young people and their families and for the investigation.”

And it was also noted that the Juvenile Prosecutor, Maria Florence Poggi“He asked urgently for the arrests of the three policemen, but the judge did not accept because he declared himself incompetent.”

“The current situation in which the investigation into the death of Lucas González is found reveals the negligence against which we find ourselves in the actions of Dr. Cilleruelo,” it was added.

At the same time, it was highlighted that the case is investigating “the possibility that the policemen have planted false evidence at the scene of the incident, which could have been avoided if the magistrate had acted expeditiously by ordering the immediate arrest of the perpetrators.”

For Lucas’s family, the judge’s “actions -and omissions-” were “negligent, which put the investigation and clarification of the facts at risk, and left the family of the victim and survivors of police action “.

Juan Romero and the assistant commissioner Roberto Inca, in charge of the Summary and Brigades Division of the Communal Police Station 4; and the commissioner Fabian Du Santos, the main Hector Cuevas and Officer Micaela Fariña, members of the 4D Neighborhood Police Station of the City Police.

And although in principle it had been reported that officer Miño had also been arrested, the spokesmen clarified that she was not located at her home and that she was a fugitive.

Tomorrow the last five detainees will be investigated by the justice, accused of covering up the homicide for which three other police officers are accused.
