Lucas Leiva, separated from training due to heart problems

The Brazilian midfielder Lucas Leiva (35 years old) was separated this Tuesday from the training sessions of the Guild after he was diagnosed with heart problems at pre-season exams.

On his Twitter profile, Guild reported that the footballer “presented a picture of altered heart rhythm in the preseason routine exams.”

“For this reason, the midfielder will be separated from activities until the conclusion of the complementary examinations and the treatment of the condition,” the statement added.

Leiva and other players who presented discomfort in physical training last week carried out conditioning activities in the gym on Monday, while their teammates exercised with the ball.

The midfielder had returned last June to Guildthe team in which he was formed, after fifteen years in European football, where he defended the colors of Liverpool (2007-2017) and lazio (2017-2022).

On his return to GuildAfter a period of physical adaptation, Leiva established himself as the starter for the team that finished runner-up in the Second Division and will return to the top flight of the Brazilian League in 2023.
