Ciudad Juárez, Chih., At least 12 communities and villages of Chihuahua registered freezing temperatures, up to eight degrees Celsius during the start of this week, the State Civil Protection Coordination (CEPC) reported.
He explained that populations with the lowest temperatures during the morning yesterday were Vergel and San Juanito, both with less 7.5 degrees Celsius.
The Municipality of Parral presented a minimum of -4 degrees and is expected to reach 26.
The state coordination indicated that the towns that were below zero were wood, with -2.9 degrees; Temosachi, with -4.7, and Cuauhtémoc, with -0.7.
Freezing indices were also recorded in the towns of Majalca, where the thermometer reached a minimum up to -6.8, Basaseachi with -4.1, as well as Creel, Guachochi with -5.5 and Chinatú with -5.
The CEPC explained that yesterday the current in subtropical jet in interaction with the entry of humid air from the Pacific Ocean and a cycling circulation at medium levels of the atmosphere favors the cold environment in the morning, from warm to hot Frías with frosts in the mountain area, clear to partially cloudy sky. He said that there was no record of storm winds or captures.
