Regarding her appearance in the clip, she gave her second interview after being imprisoned in the United States.
“I was hired to work as a model for a project that is my friend’s and that was my song. I listened to it when they were writing it, the whole song, every part of it is important to me and it touches me completely, because it talks about me and everything that has happened in my life,” said Coronel in the interview with María Antonieta Collins.
Mario “El Cachorro” Delgado was in charge of writing the song. In the past, he also composed corridos for Coronel’s husband.
Emma regretted that she cannot have any kind of contact with Guzmán Loera, the father of her daughters.
“Of course, love will always continue, of course,” she said when asked about her feelings for the drug trafficker who faces life in prison in the United States.
In September 2023, after spending two years in prison after being accused of drug distribution in the United States, Emma Coronel Aispuro was released from prison.
Coronel is on parole, so he must remain within the judicial district to which he was assigned and notify government agents of any change of address or employment.
Emma Coronel was arrested in February 2021 in Virginia, after being accused of participating in the illegal importation of heroin, cocaine, marijuana and methamphetamines.
She was also charged for her alleged involvement in the escape of “El Chapo” from the Almoloya prison, which occurred in Mexico on July 11, 2015.
In June 2021, Coronel pleaded guilty to conspiracy to traffic cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin and marijuana; money laundering; and involvement in transactions involving property belonging to a drug trafficker.
US authorities sentenced her to three years in prison in a low-security federal institution in the city of Los Angeles, California.
