The Cuban orchestra Los Van Van caused a sensation in Mexico among those attending the concert dedicated to mothers on May 13.
Prensa Latina publishes that the esplanade of the Monument to the Revolution was filled with the public to dance with the group thanks to a program organized by the Ministry of Culture of Mexico City, entitled to dance with mom.
The so-called Tren de la música cubana, founded by Juan Formell in the late 1960s, brought thousands of Mexicans to enjoy its extensive repertoire. Some improvised casino wheels in the purest Cuban style.
Los Van Van performed popular songs such as “Al paso”, “Sandunguera” and “La bobería” in a concert that attracted so many people that the authorities closed off surrounding streets and extended several loudspeakers to them.
“To all the mothers here in Mexico, congratulations!” Said the vocalist of the group when he went on stage. The closing of the presentation was marked by the success “This puts you in a bad head”, belonging to the self-titled album released in 1997.
On its Facebook profile, the orchestra announced its next musical stop in Mérida, Yucatán.
