Los Alcarrizos.- As part of the Government’s support for the municipality, the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) under the coordination of the Mayor’s Office of Los Alcarrizos, left the asphalt day extended to Ciudad Satélite, where residents waited for years for the refurbishment of its streets.
Leading the work, Mayor Cristian Encarnación explained that about five kilometers will be impacted with the asphalt layer, which covers the second stage of urbanization, extending the journey to Villa Linda III and Hato Nuevo.
In that order, the mayor reported that from the mayor’s office they will activate a brigade to patch up public roads throughout the municipality. “Minister Deligne Ascension made a commitment to deliver to Los Alcarrizos about 16 cubic meters of asphalt daily to solve the problem of the holes that have arisen as a result of the rains and the poor paving procedure carried out by the past administration,” the official said.
Who in turn thanked the Minister of Public Works for working stubbornly in the municipality of Los Alcarrizos with a view to the economic, social and political development that President Luis Abinader is promoting, so that the population of that industrious locality each day acquires better life quality.
On behalf of the Ministry of Public Works and Communications, the paving and asphalt supervisor, Moisés Sánchez, ratified the institution’s commitment to adding value to the intervened communities within the framework of the programming that they are executing at the national level with a budget that exceeds the RD $6,000 million.
The works of the MOPC in Los Alcarrizos also cover other sectors such as Piña Hermosa, Villa Los Peloteros, Hato Nuevo, La Esmeralda and Los Progresos, in a broad program of repair and reconstruction of sidewalks and curbs, which will allow these territories are reconditioned.
Likewise, the municipal executive is running the execution of 45 projects that include the construction of parks, sidewalks and containments, courts, play, community centers, construction of houses for vulnerable families, among others.
