SANTO DOMINGO.- The Los Alcarrizos Cable Car service will be reactivated after it was temporarily suspended on the occasion of the official inauguration ceremony of Line 2C of the Santo Domingo Metro, headed by President Luis Abinader.
The interruption of the system was part of the security and organization protocol of the event, which included the inaugural tour carried out by the president together with officials and authorities from the transportation sector.
Until this time of the afternoon, the cable car remained not operating, even though the president had already completed the official journey. Users in the area reported the suspension of the service and were waiting for its restoration to continue their usual trips.
The system is expected to be operational again in the next few hours, reestablishing the usual connection with the Santo Domingo Metro and the communities of Santo Domingo Oeste that depend on this means of transportation for their daily transportation.
