The Cultural Department of the Spanish Embassy in Havana invites to space “Lorca in two times. From the traditional…” to celebrate Europe Month 2023 and Spanish Language Day.
The event will take place this Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at 4:00 pm, at the Embassy of Spain, and among its proposals is the presentation of the comic “Lorca in Cuba, much Lorca”, by Alexis Díaz Pimienta and the Oralitura Project.
In addition, the documentary “A Cuban day by Federico García Lorca” by the filmmaker Fidel Raúl Oliva Bolívar will be screened and the group “A Compás Flamenco” will be presented.

These activities will last until April 23 and, according to the Prensa Latina agency, Isabel Brilhante Pedrosa, ambassador of the European Union on the island, will include a varied program with diverse artistic manifestations.
The diplomat stressed that it is a tribute to the Granada-born poet and playwright, who visited Cuba in the 1930s and found inspiration for famous poems such as “Poeta en Nueva York”, a masterpiece of Spanish surrealism.
