Congressman from People’s Action Ilich López referred to the recent resignation of the head of the Ministry of the Interior, Avelino Guillénafter conflicts that lasted for several weeks between him and the commander general of the National Police, Javier Gallardo. Lopez appealed to Republic President, peter castleand exhorted him to move “from improvisation to planning”.
“I believe that the president must now make holistic, comprehensive decisions. It is letting everything drift from our point of view and has to be more organized. It has to go from improvisation to planning,” he told Canal N.
Lopez considered impossible to carry out an in-depth analysis of the performance of Avelino Guillen in front of the mininteras his term in office was brief.
“When the steps are very short, it does not allow a long-term analysis of the very short time of the third minister in the portfolio. No further evaluation can be made (…). The instability in the positions makes the Government unstable from that portfolio and logically the population in anxiety. Mr. Guillén was a well-known person, although it is true with some issues suddenly in opposition to the Fujimori party due to the sanction of former President Fujimori, but beyond that an evaluation cannot be made, ”he added.

Interpellation to the Minister of Energy and Mines, Eduardo González
The Popular Action parliamentarian also commented on the interpellation to the Minister of Energy and Mines, Eduardo González Toro, for next January 31 and highlighted one of the main questions is the appointment of officials within the portfolio.
“We always support all interpellation motions because it is an attribution of the Legislature. Regarding the Minister of Energy and Mines, although it is true that Mr. Salaverry has resigned for not meeting the requirements, but this is happening repeatedly. (…) For example, in the case of the Vice Minister of Electricity in the same ministry. He is a man who has only had a small position within a state electric company in the north and now, oh, coincidence, he is deputy minister”, he finished.
