Chetumal, QR., President Andrés Manuel López Obrador reiterated yesterday that the objective of inaugurating the works of the Mayan Train in December continues and assured that so far there is no legal suspension of the works.
After this week the collegiate court on labor and administrative matters based in Yucatán granted the provisional suspension to the Sélvame del Tren organization against the works of Section 5, which goes from Cancun to Tulum, the president is holding a supervision tour to different sections of the project, including 5.
Interviewed when leaving the hotel where he spent the night, López Obrador added that every 15 days he will be visiting the state to review the work of the railway project.
At night, on social networks, the president pointed out that we will inaugurate in December of this year (the Mayan Train) in its entirety
of thousand 554 kilometers.
For her part, through her social networks, Governor Mara Lezama announced that when meeting with the president, he shared that a 21-kilometer road will be developed to get from Bacalar to Ichkabal, an impressive archaeological zone that we will soon show the world

Lezama Espinosa highlighted: We work together with the government of Mexico to make visible the cultural wonders of southern Quintana Roo, and thereby bring justice and prosperity to the families in these areas that need it so much.

The Ichkabal archaeological zone remains closed because after several years there are still no agreements between ejidatarios and the government on compensation for the land.
