The federal government analyzes that the 10,000 hectares owned by the National Fund for Tourism Promotion (Fonatur) in beach tourist sites become protected natural areas, so that in the future they are not privatized as happened in the past. announced President Andrés Manuel López Obrador. He pointed out that in this spirit, the neoliberal period privatized many riverbanks and today there are practically no public beaches.

In a conference, he indicated that about a thousand hectares of mangroves near the Cancun airport were sold for seven pesos per square meter. This type of action, he said, is what would encourage that decision that would involve tourist sites in Baja California, Quintana Roo, in the bays of Huatulco, in Oaxaca, or Playa Espíritu, in Sinaloa.

Recently, he led a meeting with the governors of those states and Fonatur to advance that determination.

It is necessary to do it because what’s up, bad luck, and that they come back, because they’re also going to bring more money hunger, they’re going to come back by their privileges. Heritage must be protected. It was a miracle that they didn’t end everything. It is that it was quite what the nation had, which the nation recovered with the revolutionary process.

They had handed over land, water, mines, oil, the electricity industry, railways, companies, a lot, the banks. But since it was so much, they couldn’t finish it all off. Even the tragedy of the ABC nursery was due to the privatization of children’s rooms, he added.

On the other hand, López Obrador commented that Infonavit carries out the reorganization of housing policies to favor the delivery of credits and the elaboration of a program for the recovery of abandoned apartments.

“Housing units were being built left and right, all based on corruption, buying land that they paid at prices per hectare and then sold by the square meter in remote places, without services, without transportation. Also, very bad apartments, ‘huevitos’, 30 square meters, and many were not occupied by the workers,” he explained.

To try to reverse that inheritance and take advantage of thousands of uninhabited homes, Infonavit has a plan to deliver and rehabilitate those spaces.
