The Ministry of Labor In its role as intermediary for companies that need to fill their available vacancies, it invites interested persons to participate in the employment sessions that will be held in San Pedro de Macorís and Barahona.

They will take place this October 21, from 9:00 in the morning to 2:00 in the afternoon.

The event in San Pedro de Macorís will be held at the Provincial Government, located at Calle Francisco Domínguez Charro No. 8. Meanwhile, the one in Barahona will be at the Huacalito Government Office Building, 2nd Level, located at Calle 27 de February Esq. Av. Luperón.

The San Pedro de Macorís service company has 400 vacancies available, which are: Room Service waiter, restaurant and minibar waiter, bar assistant and bartender.

Applicants must be high school graduates, with a technical course as a waiter, who are fluent in the English language at an Intermediate level and have knowledge of liquor, food and beverage handling.

Also requested: Hostess, who are university students or technical career with intermediate English and management of office package; Bar captain who is a Hospitality and Tourism student with advanced English and knowledge in liquor, food and beverage handling; security and CCTV agents with approved bachelor’s degree, basic English and immediate availability.

In addition, the following are needed: Steward with knowledge of cleaning industrial kitchens, cook with a technical cooking course, kitchen assistant with knowledge of food handling and head of the Party with basic English and knowledge of hot and cold foods, all those interested in these vacancies must be high school graduates.

Other positions requested are: Butler (proficiency in another language is valued), with a minimum experience of 1 year; receptionist, hotel and tourism graduate, with experience in reception; Guest Service with at least 1 year experience and reservation agent, those interested must have a technical course in hospitality and tourism and master advanced English.

In the same way, they are needed: Public area corridors with immediate availability, porters with intermediate English, therapist with technical cart and intermediate English and experience in the area, and experienced electricians, all must have the eighth course approved.

Also requested: Chambermaid with one year of experience and room operator with experience, both must be high school graduates.

The Barahona service company has 130 vacancies available in the areas of: Food and beverages, security, kitchen, floors, customer service, SPA and maintenance.

The Ministry of Labor clarifies that the recruitment process depends on each company, some of them take a little longer, due to the nature of their vacancies.

The use of masks is recommended for attendees as a preventive measure.
